if you type "is the world ending in year 2012" into the search engine of google.com, you will find a whole lot of links.. so of course.. without thinking.. i clicked wikipedia.. and.. "WHOOSH".. like a whole lot of things out..

there are actually A LOT of books and songs written to say that we will all die in year 2012.. books like "2012: The War For Souls" by Whitley Strieber.. and A LOT A LOT of songs on december 21, 2012.. its like too many for me to type.. O.O

if you watched I Am Legend.. those events happening there will happen in 2012.. there are also some shows that sort of predict major events happening in 2012.. around december.. that will affect the world greatly.. ohh.. the 'x-files' say aliens will invade our earth at year 2012.. O.O wow..

also also.. there are like dunno how many games saying that those heros or whatever will die at 2012..

now for the facts (?)

the most convincing reason to why would the earth end at year 2012 is most probably due to the end of the Maya Calendar's Long Count.. and what is the Maya calendar? please go and search if you wanna noe.. coz i lazy to type the explanation here.. =P

also.. the stuff about polar shifting? it is like totally possible la.. like the north becomes south and the south becomes north.. SHEESH.. imagine that happening.. why would it happen? scientific research shows that the earth is rotating in the opposite way with some unknown disaster that will somehow happen at the year whereby the two poles switch place..

OH GOD.. leonard's so screwed.. i pity him..

you know.. sometimes.. it is really not leonard/jiannan/marcus's fault.. but the tchers will usually/normally.. no.. ALWAYS.. side with jintao.. just because he is autistic..

autistic? so what? he is 16 yrs old.. and he is really quite sensible sometimes.. isnt it clear to tchers that he was the one who wanted to pick a fight..

and c'mon.. he cant win those guys.. sheesh..

how do they even make purple coloured cotton candies??? i didnt realise it until now.. but cotton candies are REALLY PRETTY.. gosh.. its like the prettiest thing.. my friend told me GREASY taiwan sausages are usually the only pretty babes in the place but.. believe me.. cotton candies win without a doubt can..

yea.. i believe every kid in singapore has something that they dislike of their school.. after all.. singapore IS famous for its ability to complain so excellently..

ya ya.. so what if dunman high is an ip school.. so what if it is the top 5 school.. HO-HUM.. still.. there are SOME REJECTS (like me) who have to stay in the school and spoil the goody-goody-good image of the school..

before i continue.. i have to say that this is solely MY POINT OF VIEW.. and i noe there is a possibility that my blog will be discovered by the school.. so.. i am just saying this coz i cant keep it inside any longer.. ya.. SORRY TO EVERYONE WHO IS INVOLVE IN THIS.. POST.. lols.. pardon me for my grammer and vocab!















of course.. i dont regret going in to dunman high..

i can remember when i got my psle score, i was immediately thinking of going to dunman high.. i mean.. why wont someone not go to dunman high? the promises.. the upgrading.. the wonderful teachers.. and of course.. the O level scores that the last batches of DHS students got.. its almost an offer impossible to resist..

i said ALMOST..

yea i did think of the stress i am putting myself into.. i also thought of the high expectations my parents will give me..

but WAD THE HECK..

i will be the only one in both my father's side and mother's side to enter such a fantastic school.. i mean.. why not just go for it?



well.. until now.. i believe my choice isnt wrong..

mr sng (principal) is realli great.. he is a very humble guy.. even when i met he and his family at eastpoint mall.. he will still wave to me and smile.. even though he is a principal of my school.. and thats realli cool..

mr fong (former vice-principal) is realli great as well.. knowing that i went to 3A ( o level class ), he gave me lots of encouragement whenever he sees me in school.. sadly.. he is no longer the vice-principal.. SHEESH..

mr loh.. ( vice-principal) even though he never realli talk to me.. he says hi and acknowledges my humble bows and waves..

and some other great teachers that i dont think i will mention it.. i was intending to make this short and sweet.. okay.. not realli SWEET.. oh wells..



but.. tsk.. since sec3 until now.. i got this strong feeling inside me.. how should i put it.. hmmmm.. ok.. you can say i am shocked..

i am shocked because.. i thought and i wished that teachers will encourage us.. meaning my class.. to strive as much as we possibly can instead of just scolding us and tell us how lousy we are every single time he/she steps into the classroom..

but i was wrong lar.. obviously..

i cannot deny that we are in the fault as well.. i cannot deny that.. (being a member of my class.. it is a DUH thing that i will be prejudiced.. yea.. just trying to show my perspective here..)

however.. as teachers.. i believe they have the right to give us the respect we need..

why?

coz firstly..

IF we are able to come into dunman high.. HOW LOUSY CAN WE GET? hello? the cut off point that year was like 257??? thats quite high you noe.. so.. no matter how slack we can be.. dont you think we are.. uhm.. "save-able"? (yea my english sucks)

secondly..

i believe every kid like us can be nurtured through consistent care and concern from our seniors and even peers.. yea.. WE ARE TRYING TO BE GOOD KIDS..

believe me.. we are..

but there are still ppl/teachers who stereotypes us and strongly believes that we wont turn good.. and even if we do.. it can never be as good as some other model students..


one thing is for sure..

NO ONE IS PERFECT.. even the model students..


i seriously DETEST and FELT DISGUSTED when a certain teacher compares some role model in our class who gets super high marks with another student in our class whom he/she thinks slacks a lot.. as he/she can see from the student's results..

uh-huh.. ya ya.. WADEVER MAN..

hurhur.. i am sorry.. but to me.. and i believe to dunman high.. a student's results are not particularly the only thing that you need to succeed..

okay.. so that role model got all A1s.. but how good is his/her character? he/she is basically very selfish, arrogant and unfriendly..

sad to say.. i doubt any teachers believe me.. =(

what about the 'slack' one.. he/she is kind.. caring.. noes how to treat pets.. friendly.. helpful.. loyal.. and brave..

so the 'slack' one is inferior la? YA I SUPPOSE SO HOR..

yes.. you can argue that i should be realistic and that results are still the thing that counts..

HOW YOU NOE THAT WE ARE NOT TRYING? well.. i am.. i am trying my best..

and also..

we have ears.. we noe that we are lousy.. we noe that we suck.. we noe that we might fail our os or wadever.. blah blah blah.. yes we noe.. why do you have to repeat it over and over again???

like we dont already understand??


ONE THING I HAVE TO STATE IT CLEAR..

regardless of whether we want it or not.. i believe everyone in my class felt that they are inferior to the ip/dhp students..

why?

because we are a group of students who will not follow the dhp programme and stay with the school for 6 years..

to us.. we feel inferior.. we feel discriminated..

i think if i am a teacher.. i should motivated that group of kids.. to encourage them not to give up.. to tell them that they are extraordinary ppl that will prove extraordinary results and show the school that they are the best damn class in dhs's history..

those kind of words of encouragement would be a type of vitamin that i will be glad to take in everyday..

since our pride has sort of being demolished.. being teachers.. i think they should start building our confidence up..

scolding.does.not.work.

some teachers have been scolding us since sec3.. until now.. and since it is not working.. why dont they just change a strategy???

scolding doesnt realli work for some of us.. if only those teachers could understand.. the more they scold.. the more rebellion some students can get..

i mean.. they could think.. 'i already think i am so lousy.. even the teachers think so.. then.. maybe i realli AM lousy..' and ta-dahhh..

what i realli want and expect is not a lot.. just MORE ENCOURAGEMENT.. and giving us MORE MOTIVATION..



after all.. we will feel even more guilty if we score poorly for a subject whereby the teacher encourages us than for a subject whereby the teacher thinks we are pieces of trash.. true?

so why not? its just a few months to go.. (i am saying all this not only for myself.. i realli thinks that some ppl in our class needs the encouragement)

if you realli hate us so much.. can you just bear with it until after o levels? and besides.. how you noe we dont like you? LOL.. (that doesnt make sense.. but who cares.. xD)
